Common Reasons for Anxiety and Depression

 

There are many common reasons for anxiety and depression. Some of them can be traced to your genes, while some can be due to environmental factors such as stress. But whatever the cause may be, anxiety and depression make up a very large percentage of the problems faced by millions of people worldwide. Some of these reasons for depression and anxiety are:

Lack of motivation: Every person who is working and has to attend to his/her family needs the drive to do that. If anxiety and depression are common in a person's life, it is very difficult for him/her to get the drive to work. Low self-esteem and lack of ambition are also some of the common characteristics of anxiety and depression.

Lack of social interaction: Social interaction is very important in every person's life. However, when anxiety and depression set in, they lead to avoidance of social activities. A depressed person does not have the energy to go out and meet new people. His mind tends to dwell on the negative things around him/her: fears, failures, and failures of others. The more a person concentrates on his own problems, the deeper he sinks into depression.

 Lack of intimacy: Depression and anxiety also lead to avoidance of intimacy. Insecurity and loneliness are common in people suffering from anxiety and depression. They feel that they have nothing in their lives and thus feel isolated. This feeling of loneliness can cause them to seek solace in another person, thus making them lonely. Lack of intimacy can also cause them to withdraw completely from their family, friends, and even from themselves.

 Stress and workload: The workload and pressure that we constantly face in our lives can cause anxiety and depression. We become anxious because we feel that we cannot handle everything in our lives. Anxiety and stress can also cause our imaginations to go haywire and create unrealistic expectations of our lives. When this happens, we feel that we have no control over our lives. And when these unnecessary worries consume us for no reason, we start worrying about our future and its possible outcome.

As you can see, anxiety and depression are very common reasons for feeling blue. If you have any of these feelings, then it is important that you take the necessary steps to recover quickly. The first step is to visit your doctor to rule out any serious illnesses. The second step is to determine what the underlying causes of your anxiety and depression are. Once you know what exactly caused your anxiety and depression, you will be able to find the proper treatment to regain your life back.
